The Ageless Wonder…

A big Hawaiian Surf Adventures congratulations to Mark Occhilupo, better know in the surf universe as “Occy,” for surfing his way into the quarterfinals of the Telstra Drug Aware Pro 2012 in Western Australia yesterday! At the ripe old age of 45, Occy is still showing surfing’s youth movement how to rip apart the waves! The ageless wonder is a testament to the fact that surfing can indeed keep us forever young. Maka’u – A Surf Story

Underneath a churning mountain of whitewater, he realized the intensity of the situation. Hot pains flashed through his chest a desperate need to breathe. The benign tropical water went black, leaving him blind to the razor sharp coral rushing up to meet him. Pinned violently to the bottom, he felt the warm rush of blood to his back. Your First Wave

You’ll always remember your first wave. That moment when you feel the rush of the ocean underneath you, urging you to your feet, gliding unfettered across a crystalline sea. Last year I received a typical phone call inquiring about our lessons, answered the questions and made reservations for the group. The lady on the phone (we’ll...

Hopefully you are smart like me (haha) and take your first lesson with Hawaiian Surf Adventure. Leaning the basics right away is essential. I’ve been surfing for 8 years and will still ask for advice from surf instructors; little tips here and there add up! I consider myself very spoiled in the realm of learning to surf. I happened to be dating the owner of H.S.A when I was learning, so I would hop on the boat and surf empty waves...
